Spring road trip season is almost here and if you've ever crested a hill into unexpected gridlock, crept through mountain fog you didn't see coming, or watched an icy overpass appear way too late to do anything about it, you already know what we've been building toward with this update.
Weather on the Way has always been about knowing what's ahead before you get there. Version 2.5.0 takes that further than any forecast can.

We've added live traffic camera feeds, sourced directly from DOT and highway authority networks across the US, right onto your route map.
After loading your route, tap on the eye icon in bottom left and you can see what the road actually looks like right now. A real live image (and in some cases video) from the real camera, on the stretch of road you're about to drive.
This an be very useful to preview not only weather road conditions, but also traffic, fog, precipitation or even lane closures.
The cameras feature is available for all users, both free and PRO.
We're launching with US camera coverage first, with more countries on the way. If you're outside the US, stay tuned — we're working on it.
